By the time students reach Orange school, they're in eleventh and twelfth grade and often know each other well, though they are so open and welcoming to new campers! They are full of joy as they see each other again each summer and dive deep into the material as they are oftentimes dealing with heavier topics in real life by now.

Jackie Hill
Jackie was born in Memphis, Tennessee and lived there until he was 17 years old when his family moved to Collierville, TN. After he graduated high school his family moved into rural West Tennessee. Iowa was his home for 2.5 years before he moved to Roseville, MN where he lives now with his wife Carina and their children Noah, Leah, Makaiah and Pom-a-Poo Samson.
The love God put in Jackie's heart, and his love for God were huge factors in his surrender to ministry. Ultimately Jackie felt so drawn to ministry that he couldn't see himself being happy or content unless he gave his life fully to God in service to the church. He loves serving God's church as a pastor and is so grateful that by God's infinite sovereignty and grace, He called him and equipped Jackie to be a pastor.
Some of his favorite things: hunting, fishing, camping, podcasts, fantasy football
Fun fact: Jackie and Derek have a podcast called the "17:17 Podcast" that you should check out! They discuss different biblical topics related to our culture today.

Derek ambroson
Derek has been a youth pastor at Roseville Baptist Church since 2016. He is a graduate of University of Northwestern, St. Paul. Derek has been married since August of 2016 to his lovely bride, Alexxis. They have 2 kids, Zoe and Kyla.
Favorite things to do: play church softball, lift weights with the boys, eat Chipotle, watch the Kansas City Chiefs, and make Alexxis laugh.
Random fact that doesn't matter: I bowled a 300 game in 2014 (I have receipts!!!)
